Features

What's inside

Everything listed here is in the product today. Where a feature depends on a plan, a key or a setting, it says so.

One conversation, everything kept.

A saved chat keeps its clips, its code and links, and its files. Choose a layer to bring it forward.

ChatCSS grid for a 12-column portfolio

12-column CSS grid for a portfolio: the image spans 8, the caption spans 4, and they stack on mobile.

Using minmax(0, 1fr) stops long words or wide images from stretching a column past its share. MDN's grid guide covers the rest.

Bring it in

  • Import your history

ChatGPT exports (.zip, .json, .html), Claude exports and Gemini through Google Takeout. Take whole chats or only the messages you choose. Importing again adds only what's new.

  • Keep chats up to date

When a conversation goes on, add just the messages that came after, from the open page or a newer export. Earlier messages you skipped can come in too.

From the page it needs the Chrome extension. With Auto-sync on for a chat, new messages are added each time you open that chat.

  • Save from the page

The Chrome extension saves conversations on chatgpt.com and claude.ai, and on gemini.google.com once you turn it on.

The install link isn't published yet.

  • Continue in a new chat

Take the context of a saved conversation into a new chat, in the same AI or in another one.

Organize

  • Drawers and subdrawers

File chats in drawers up to three levels deep, pin the ones you use most and keep favorites.

  • Tags and rules

Tag chats by hand or let rules tag the new ones. Select many chats and act on them at once.

  • Clips and margin notes

Select a few lines and keep them as a quote, a decision or a to-do, with a note beside them. All your clips wait on one page, sorted by type.

In the app, Clips carry a Pro mark: which plans include them is not final yet.

  • Files

Attach files to a chat or to a single message, up to 100 MB each, with previews and search. Images and uploads from ChatGPT exports arrive with the chat.

Files count toward your plan's library space. The extension saves the text of a chat, not its attachments.

Find and reuse

  • Search everything

Chats, notes, snippets, links and drawers from one search box, with ⌘K from anywhere in the app.

  • Code, links and artifacts

Every code block and link from your chats in one place, plus Claude artifacts and ChatGPT canvases from your exports.

  • Prompts and chains

Save prompts with variables, run them as step-by-step chains, and start from a collection of 60 ready prompts. The ones you used lately stay at the top.

  • AI tools, if you want them

Summaries, filing suggestions and questions across your library.

Needs your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key, or the allowance included in Pro.

Your library, your account

  • Your library, in your account

Sign in on another computer and your library is there. Deleted items wait in the Trash for 30 days.

  • Export and backup

Export to Markdown, text or JSON, or keep a full backup that is checked before it's restored.

  • Community

Share prompts, tips and workflows with other people who use drawerly. A prompt you save from it keeps its author's username.

Optional: you join with a public profile of your choice.

  • Five languages, two themes

English, Italian, Spanish, French and German, in dark or light.
